Ghosts of North Leith

The cast is Mark Kydd, Deborah Whyte, Chelsea Grace, Grant MacIver, and Fraser Allan Hogg as the poet Robert Nicoll, newly arrived in the Coburg Street burial ground and eager to learn the stories of the other inhabitants. 

 

Citadel Dementia Projects

People's Postcode Lottery enabled Citadel to take music plays to centres for older people including many living with dementia.  Many of them participated in the improvised drama workshops and shared memories.

2024 Two exciting performance projects projects:

The Union Canal Project - a new play telling stories of people who designed, worked and diad on the Union Canal. to be performed on the barge, the Lochrin Belle, as she travels along the canal from Fountainbridge to Harrison Park.

Leith Custom House - Citadel returns to the Leith Custom House to create a site specific show based on stories of Leith's Historic Custom House

 

 
Leithers - One Family

 

 

 

 

Citadel's new series of 10-minute audio plays are all based on separate chapters from William Haddow's popular historical novel, 'Leithers One Family'. The eleven audio dramas follow the fictitious Preston family of Leith through plague, war and poverty from the 14th to the 21st centuries.
